Accessing SISWeb

What You Can Do in SISWeb | Registration Menu | Tips for Successful Web Registration

To access SISWeb, go to http://sisweb.ucdavis.edu. Click on Login. Enter your UC Davis Login ID and Kerberos password to access the registration site. Enter your student ID and PAC when prompted.

What You Can Do in SISWeb

  • Register for classes
  • View and update address information
  • View holds
  • Display grades and advising transcripts
  • View your account summary
  • Verify your enrollment
  • Check your appointment time
  • Change your PAC; you should periodically change your PAC to protect your privacy.

Registration Menu

Select the term and click on Submit Term.

  • Add/Drop Classes
    • Enter the Course Reference Number (CRN) for each class you want to add. If you do not know the CRN for a class, you can search for classes by clicking on Class Search. When you have entered the CRNs of all the classes in which you want to enroll, click on Submit Changes. To drop a class, select Drop Via the Web from the pull down menu in the Action column. Remember to click on Submit Changes after dropping a class.  
  • Search for Classes
    • Search for classes by subject, title key word, number, begin or end time, or days of the week. SISWeb displays the open sections that match your information. For the fastest, broadest search, search by subject only. Enter information in more fields to narrow the search. Broad searches will return the most results and may take a few minutes to complete. When you find a class in which you wish to enroll, select the class, then click on Add to Worksheet to enter the CRN on your Add Classes worksheet. When you have entered the CRNs for all the classes in which you wish to enroll, click on Submit Changes.  
  • Add/Drop using a Permission to Add (PTA) or Permission to Drop (PTD) number
  • Change Grade Mode and Change Variable Units
    • Use this menu option to change the grading option or change units for a variable-unit course in which you are enrolled.  
  • Student Schedule by Day and Time
    • Display and print your classes arranged in a grid according to the day and time of each class. Select the term you want to check (it will default to the current term), and then click on a class to view the detail schedule.  
  • Student Detail Schedule
    • View additional class details, such as instructor, activity, and grading mode for each class in which you are enrolled. If you added yourself to the wait list for a course, you can also view your position on the wait list here.

Tips for Successful Web Registration

  • You must have a UC Davis Login ID, a Kerberos password, a UC Davis student ID number, and a PAC to access the SISWeb site. If you are a new student, or do not already have a UC Davis computing account, and need information, see http://computingaccounts.ucdavis.edu. Allow one hour after creating your account before accessing SISWeb.
  • Complete your registration worksheet prior to your appointment time.
  • When searching for classes, you must always enter a subject.
  • Display or print your schedule before you log off SISWeb to verify your registration.
